Job Description
The Business Development Manager for Farm Inputs is responsible for driving the growth and expansion of the company's farm input products and services. This role involves identifying potential markets, developing business strategies, and building strong relationships with key stakeholders to increase sales and market share. The Business Development Manager will work closely with the sales and marketing teams to implement effective strategies that align with the company's objectives and contribute to overall business success.


Market Research and Analysis:
Conduct thorough market research to identify potential customers and market trends.
Analyze market data and competitor activities to develop effective business strategies.
Identify opportunities for new products or services in the farm inputs sector.

Business Strategy Development:
Develop and implement business plans to achieve sales targets and expand market presence.
Identify key growth areas and create strategies to penetrate new markets or regions.
Collaborate with the management team to set achievable sales goals and revenue targets.

Customer Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and industry stakeholders.
Provide exceptional customer service and address client inquiries and concerns promptly.
Conduct regular meetings and presentations to promote farm input products and services.

Sales and Marketing Support:
Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to develop effective marketing campaigns.
Provide sales teams with product knowledge, sales tools, and training to enhance their performance.
Monitor the effectiveness of marketing efforts and make necessary adjustments.

Product Development and Launch:
Collaborate with product development teams to identify new product opportunities and improvements.
Assist in product launches, ensuring effective communication and promotional activities.

Financial Analysis and Budgeting:
Prepare and manage budgets for business development activities.
Monitor expenses and ensure cost-effective operations within the assigned budget.

Reporting and Performance Analysis:
Generate regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and business development activities.
Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions.

Industry Networking:
Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to represent the company and explore new partnerships.

Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Business, Marketing, or related fields. A Master's degree is a plus.
Proven experience in business development, sales, or marketing within the agriculture or farm inputs industry.
Strong understanding of agricultural inputs, such as seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, and agricultural machinery.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills to build relationships and close deals.
Demonstrated ability to think strategically and develop business plans.
Analytical mindset with the capability to interpret market data and make data-driven decisions.
Ability to travel as required to meet clients and attend industry events.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
